Myochi Relia Wecker was in search of ancient knowledge of folk medicine her whole life, applying it to herself and to others, collecting experiences along the way. From this knowledge, she wants to convey some profound and simple methods. These are neither costly nor complicated, and this knowledge should all be usable again.

Basic direction for a healthy life is to come after inner peace. In order for our body and mind to have the inner and outer willingness to meditate in an upright posture, we can support it with this knowledge of folk medicine.

Mahayana Essentials 1
with Nakagawa Roshi and Genpo Christoph Hahn.

In this study group we try to provide an introduction into the teachings of the Yogacara, along with a view to their subsequent continuation in China and Japan.
"Who is it that gets into the nature of the knowable?
A Bodhisattva, whose mind-stream by the continued hearing of the doctrine of the Great Vehicle is saturated and is supported by unique devotion of the roots of the good."
These sentences are from Asanga, a monk from the 4th century. He is, along with his Teacher Maitreya and his brother Vasubandhu, seen as one of the great figures of Indian Mahayana. If there is no recognition of emptiness and no achievement (Heart Sutra) and when Nirvana and Samsara are identical (Nagarjuna), why should we then still at recognition of the knowable, and strive for the attainment of nirvana? Why do you need as the Noble Eightfold Path? But then - how to deal with the very real suffering in this world? "Many such questions were to Asanga employed. A lively response represents For him, the Bodhisattva. He goes on the "path of Yoga" (Yogacara), Towards active doing and practicing, which is also the way of knowing. awakening and compassion grow on the same ground as greed and ignorance in a world of "Spirit" citta.

Thu 5.8.-Sun 15.8. Zen Retreat
Basic course in wholesome living
The healing path is easy, but in this day and age this knowledge is largely lost.

  • Wholesomely deal with oneself, with body, clothing, food, leisure, stress, media consumption
  • Wholesomely deal with other people, in family, community, workplace and in society
  • Wholesomely deal with the environment, with nature, animals, resources

We will look step by step at these basic elements of wholesome life and practice them together. Important and beneficial are the days of conscious speech and silence.
This course is run by Nakagawa Roshi and Myochi R. Wecker and supported by the monastic community in whose everyday life these elements are integrated and practiced.

Jin Shin Jyutsu ® Retreat, Strömtage
In the footsteps of Jiro Murai

In this retreat we take a step back from everyday life and practice JSJ and meditation in original form: silently, in a quiet, pleasant place, surrounded by nature - like Jiro Murai. He was the son of a Japanese family of doctors who himself was terminally ill.
He retreated into the mountains, meditated and fasted and held his hands in specific Buddha-Mudra positions. Deeply grateful for the healing he experienced, he devoted the rest of his life to this healing art.
In order for the healing streams to take full effect on us during the retreat, the body will be supported and nourished with light, healing fare.
